There’s a moment when I know what you want

Pleasing my clients is my main agenda, MY project. There’s a moment after communicating back and forth with every client when I know what they want and they’re surprised, because I get it. I’ve worked with some clients for over 20 years. We establish a relationship, and I know I’ve done a good job because they keep coming back.

Supporting myself with creativity

I founded Debby Cook Interiors in 2004, taking my financial future into my own hands. I was in the very first graduating class of interior design at Missouri State, and although my dad thought I would starve to death by supporting myself with creativity, he got on board with the idea after hearing an accolade from a client praising my work. I have a minor in art and home economics, a twin sister that avoids interior design at all costs and an extinguished passion to become a potter.

I work to improve my company each year, updating processes or marketing practices or just becoming more involved in the community.
